（中央社克里夫蘭25日綜合外電報導）美國職棒大聯盟MLB克里夫蘭印地安人今天在主場贏戰迎芝加哥小熊，終場以6比0勝出，拿下世界大賽首戰。
小熊隊自1908年後就未在世界大賽中勝出，是美國運動史上最久沒得到總冠軍的隊伍，而他們甚至在1945年後就沒再取得7戰4勝制的冠軍賽資格。
印地安人隊也是從1948年開始就與世界大賽冠軍無緣，是美國聯盟總冠軍荒最久的1隊，而他們上次打進世界大賽是在1997年。
